"Dança Cigana" (Gipsy
Dance) was wrote by Carelli in 1996. It's the No.2 from
Intercontinental Dances Suite for orchestra. The serie portrays
dances originated in a country or from a specific culture, which
became universal, assimilated by the culture of all countries.
In 2015,
Carelli added lyrics in Romani (language of the
Roma people) to this song, for a performance in Rio by argentinian
tenor Martin Fernandez.
